As aquion, my fellow reader mentioned in his comment, there’s a new version 2.2.0.37 available for quite a long time on skype.com webpage (actually it’s almost two months now). I just downloaded it and gave it a try.

Problems with Pocket Skype and HTC Trinity are long known issue. I already discussed this in my old blog called Working Pocket Skype for Trinity. According to aquion, everything should work.

From my experience, everything is not as cool as it may look. You are currently not limited to chat only, there’s still a huge issue with sound. At least on my device.

• The other party sometime just doesn’t hear what i say
• Sometimes it’s pretty lagged.
• It’s using the loudspeaker and I haven’t found a way to change volume inside skype or to switch to phonespeaker.

I tested this with echo sound test. In case you would like to give it a try, download link is below. At least we moved a little. And video? Still not included. =/
